Over the last couple of years, i have seen a few go for about $1200 plus on ebay. However given the current state of the economy, i think you may be correct...for the immediate future.

I have one and am debating whether to sell or keep.

I never understood the obsession for gear that was not modded when most of them were. I can see them being worth more than modified one but definitely not 10 times as much. The Ross bayonets with the modified point are to me cooler than the ones with the butcher knife point because it almost certainly got used in the trenches and it has history.

A blatant statement of the most obvious. Edge Weapons of the 20th century are getting very expensive very fast. If I cashed out right now I will have made a very heavy profit. Its hard to believe a hobby that pays back, tax free, now if I could only convince my wife-SDH

You NEVER know when one will show up. I got one a few years ago when a chap at the Huntsville show had one in his hand in front of a table then chucked it back on the table saying "I'd never pay $65.00 for a Jap bayonet. Almost threw my back out getting to my wallet. You never know!!!! It was a Mole.

A square didn't mention that the second hooker on his picture is an Arisakaicon, is it one of the UKicon issued ones?

$1000 for a mint hooker in MkI scabbard isnt too far fetched, i just recently bought a Lithgowicon hooker for about that, though it is only v good and not mint. but the first i had ever seen. $2500 is more like an RFI starting bid, I have yet to see an RFI hooker, and it would be the same for a 1913 with quillion or one of th é colt marked examples.

hey guys, i actually have a hookie 4 sale myself.... nowhere near that price though. its made by sanderson dated 12/09. comes without scabbard though, ive decided to sell it for $350. trying to find interested collectors before it goes to the public on ebay.... shouldnt have too many probs considering the prices ive seen them go for, maybe im selling it too cheap.
