    Another GEW98/K98 rework rifle

I do not think this is a pre war rework. It appears to be more of a last ditch rebuild from various parts. The stock, barrel and bands are GEWicon. I believe the receiver is Belgian. It has the script L in the circle with a crown. The star Z is listed as a Belgian sub inspector's mark. The stock has three initials at the lower band location. I can only assume it is from the worker that shortened the stock. Headspace is fine and it shoots well.

The Last Ditch rifles look poor. This rifle looks good to me. Perhaps a 1946 Belgan re-build? Any FN proofs? Not sure, though. Nice find, for sure.
