Warning - Fake No.32 MkIII on eBay

Another one of the fakes - Mk1 or 2 drums on a MkIII engraved body. See item 220611564903. Buyer beware! Best not say anything about the matching serial number on the bracket!

WW2 Lee Enfield No.4 T Sniper Scope No. 32 Mk. III - eBay (item 220611564903 end time Jun-08-10 21:00:09 PDT)

I think that this is another one, 190399531312 on ebay.
He says he has another 6 the same.
Same OS No as the one noted by Nigel but a mk 2
He also has the mounts and pads.

Also he has the scopes US M84 for the Garandicon, and not just one........ all perfect condition.

What is the spurious crossed keys proof mark in the penultimate pic of the listing no. 220611564903?

They certainly went to some trouble making the finish look worn in all the right places, but all to no avail!
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

Much changes, much remains the same.

The seller of 190399531312 the mk 2
has added a note that an ebayer has told him it is probably a fake,
his reply is that it is possible that it is. He has several 32s and not all identical.

Is this reaching the realms of notifying ebay about a fraudulant activity?
I guess it depends if the items are sold as original or repros, ebay could force them to state that these were not authentic, that at least would be more honest and protect buyers? Thoughts appreciated.

By stating that someone has doubts if it is original, the seller can refuse returns, as the "doubt" was stated up front. Smooth......

He also lists it as "New", which, at least, is honest enough.
