    December, 1944, three members of Division Signal Company, 101st Airborne Division pose with another of the town signs, on the road coming-in from the northwest perimeter.



    Bonus

    American troops entering the town of La Haye-du-Puits, after several days of very heavy fighting in the hills surrounding the area. July 8th/9th 1944.

    Guys i thought i would just share this with you....this june 13 members of my UKicon reenactment and living history group represented the 79th Cross of Lorraine Division following their combat route from Utah Beach down to Lessay...and we recreated this famous picture of a 314th Inf regt mortar crew moving south down the D900 towards Lessay from La Haye Du Puits.... real nice then and now picture

    If the board will permit and with Mark In Rochesters permission may i indulge in another couple of recreations...1944-2010...it does have a Garandicon prescense in it.....

    Cherbourg June 1944 and exactly the same place June 2010
