    Wood Handle PAL M4

I have always wanted one of these. I finally broke down and bought one the other day. I have seen them on the internet, but have never actually had one in hand. I'm just wondering what you guys think. I have it pictured with another PAL M4 that I have. I do notice a couple of little differences. I do realize that the peening on the tang will be different. The stamping on the guard is off a bit and the curve on the top of the blade, where the sharp edge ends, is at a sharper angle.

    Any comment would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Greg V

    Pal M4

GreV- Looks alright to me. I wouldn't get bent out of shape over the grind in the top edge of the blade. Utica M3's had substantially different grinds between the early blade , and late guard marked. Looks cool! SKIP

My Wood handle is a Case

I have two Rubber handles, Utica and unmarked with later guard.

I am looking for an Aluminum if anyone has one to sell.

I think they are worth having in an M-4 collection. How many do you see laying around?

    Wood Handled PAL M4

JIMF4M1's-Come to think of it, I've never seen an aluminum handled M4 at all. Read about them, can't even recall seeing any good pics. Seen a few wood handled, but my priorities right now are to get all the leather handled variations. Still looking for both the ACC and Aerial marked. I have a really nice rubber handle M4, blade marked US M3 CAMILLUS. That was a real keeper. SKIP

    Skiph,

After years of looking I finally got all the makers. Now I look for variations.

I had an Aluminum handle M-4 somewhere, but I can't find it. Looked through 14 boxes of stuff. It is driving me nuts. I'm hoping it didn't get stolen at a show. That's why I am looking for another.

I have an M-4 with an M-3 marked blade I think it nice.

    Wood Handled PAL M4

JimF4M1sicon- That has to be a very early/ maybe prototype M4. Have never seen one in that condition. Leather handle, blued blade, WOW! Mine was probably a 1950's conversion done in Japanicon. I have the rubber handle, and late guard, and it's nice, but no comparison to yours. Thanks for showing it. SKIP

I too have yet to see an aluminum handle M4, but I sure would like to, even a picture of one that someone here on the boards might have.

I have a rubber handle CAMILLUS with a "blued" blade. It's not in too bad of shape. I also have a leather handle A.C.C. and a leather AERIAL. I do wish they were in better shape, but still happy to have them.

GregV- I've been trying to get my hands on an ACC & Aerial for years. I have a collector friend that has a mint original that is actually a very beautiful M4. Tried trading a Mint Camillus M3, guard marked-NO GO. He's not gonna let it go. I'll keep trying. Nice Blades! SKIP

SKIP, I hope you find the ones you want. I saw a really nice AERIAL at gun show a few years ago. It was probably one of the nicest M4's that I have seen. The guy wanted $175 for it and I passed on it. Sure wish I had bought it.
