    Alaskan on a C

When I got my M1C I found a Alaskan serial B 5709 for a decent price. I was told by a M1C expert that that serial number was in the middle of a block of numbers that were verified to have gone to the Gov. and that it would be acceptable on a 52 rebuild C. I have been thinking about spending the bucks to get a M84 for it. Would I be justified in spending Bucks? Would I break even on the extra expense when I sell the C? I am getting older and I have been slowly thinning out my collection and would probably sell it some time over the next couple of years. I have about $6500 in the rifle now and would like to at lest break even when I sell. I figure a M84 would add a least 700 it the cash I have in the C

The B Alaskan is correct for the M1C, the M84 is not. Leave it alone.
