    Unhappy I don't like it......

The grey background color was OK, I could see it.

This brown color is the pits. I ,personally, can't make out the contrast between the brown background and the (somewhat) black text.

Don't do anything on my account, but if it stays this way, I won't be looking anymore as I REALLY can't see it.

    FWIW,

    Emri

I had difficulty reading the black on brown too, and I have near perfect vision (thanks to laser surgery) and the eyes are still under 50 years old.

Go to the bottom left corner of the page and you will see a selection box marked "military surplus dark". Pick military light instead and you will have black on white background. A topic will highlight yellow if you are pointing at it.

Yah, the new new light background is super! Even faster, too, for me, and w/ limited time that's important.

    Thanks guys,

I was surprised when the brown showed up and really couldn't see it. The white option is much better. IIRC, last year it was the green color no one liked and it got changed to grey. I did not know there was an option at the bottom of the page, but do now!

    Thanks again,

    Emri

You're welcome ... still not finished tuning it, but it certainly is an option for those that prefer it. Also, everyone should read this post ...

Struggling With The Colour (click here)

Finally, with a big thanks to Joe (Username = SiteDeveloper ), the light style referred to is a work in process that members can select as an option to the current dark style.

Try it and see if that appeals to you better. Give it a good workout and poke into all the corners looking for issues such as fields where text is white and the background is also white, you would never see anything typed. That's the kind of research I need you guys to do to help out. Post your results in this thread so we all can read it, then we'll be able to address it, if it can be fixed practically. Make sure it isn't a problem with your end first, by perhaps using an obsolete browser.

Check the pics attached and they'll show you how you select the two options. They can also be set in your General Options to be your own personal defaults, so if you find the one you like, make that default change there. If you change your mind later, you can also change the default color scheme to something else.

Thanks for everyone's constructive support and understanding.....

    Regards,
    Doug (Badger)
