    Whitworth bullet maker?

An enfield buddy has an old whitworth he'd love to shoot but he needs one of those bullet makers, either casting or one of those swaggers that you drive a stock bullet through, I know I've seen them someplace, does anyone know where we could find one to buy? thanks r

lol, in this case we'd talking 1860 muzzle loader as opposed to a 303 with that whitworth stamp on the barrel, and no, not the one that was for sale last year. I have a bit more info see pm

I think there were moulds made "recently" in Englandicon and perhaps Italyicon. As I'm sure he doesn't want to cut a couple of inches off the end of his barrel (Which works well, IF you don't want to paper patch your bullets...), a proper sized mould in the rifling form shape may also be complemented by a "standard" "round" (not rounfd ball, mind you) bullet- they were a common substitute in the War of Northern Massive Retaliation (US Civil War).

I forget the exact tricks to getting regular picket balls to work well, but they supposedly will shoot accurately, too. I had a book at home , but I forget where I live...

Dixie Gun Works imported a batch from Parker Hale awhile back. They may still have them.

as one says around here, bang on the money, thank you ... Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.

Thats got my black powder urges bursting at the seams, how neat that there's three whitworth models to choose from. Anyone seen that top model before with the half stock? Was it available on the market back in the day? plus, how neat to read a shooters review too ...
