    Surplus firearms magazine

    Hi Fellow military gun enthusiasts.
Recently i came across a magazine put out by guns&ammo mag ,
called surplus firearms I dont know if its a special or its gonna be a regular mag . But it is sure full of sweet military surplus guns . Sadly all of the advertisers of military surplus are in the states . and with US pricing Ie cheap . Its kinda frustrating for us guys in Canadaicon who have to pay throught the nose for them and limmited availability .
Its full of articlea including one about a cashe of thousands of Martini henrys recently brought from the nepalise royal armoury to the US and can be bought for $500 .if you can find one exoect to pay double that in Canada .
there are article on Lee Enfields and Garandicon ,Magants ,
and also military pistols as well . Its cool mag and a great read i would recommend it to anyone .

I've got the same issue, along with last years.
I think they only put it out once a year unfortunatly, but it's a good read when it's around.

It's put out once a year. That mag is one of a series of specialty printings like Deer Hunting Annual, Police & Military Firearms, The Complete Book of 22s, etc. from PRIMEDIA.

Good question. If somebody wanted a rifle badly enough up here, he could go through his local gun shop. The prices for this would vary. Mostly, how much of a charge the gun shop here would levy to bring in the rifle.

Re: gun shop importation charges. I believe Questar charges about $200 ... but then again their market is probably more high end 'black guns' than milsurps. I suppose a collectible M-H might make it a worthwhile proposition.

:*****: :*****: Well im sure it is a load of grief . and paperwork from both governments and of course theres the mark up from the importer/Agent and so the cost and time would out weigh the benefit of cheaper US shootin irons .

I'm useing Questar right now to bring up a MN 91/30 Sniper with PE scope, supposedly in excellent condition and matching numbers, they are of course made up rifles, I don't know if the rifle is an original sniper or not. They add exactly $200 + GST to the price, are really decent to deal with and the rifle still comes here cheaper than I can buy one here. Not only that, I don't have to look around for a year to find one. I don't know how long it will take to go through all of the processing, 3-6 months seems to be normal. Badgerdog helped me through the hurdles. bearhunter
