    Parker Hale Eyepiece Variant

Picked this up t'other day as a variant I'd not seen before.

Extremely well made (quality) 'adapter' by JH Steward of London to allow a prescription lens to be added.
    It consists of :
    PH62 6 hole eyepiece
    JH Steward 'adapter'
    'Soft' washer
    Lens
    'soft' washer
    Brass screw in ring
    Screw on 'cap'

Edit : Found out a bit more about J H Steward

J.H. Steward Ltd was established in London, Englandicon in 1856. J.H. Steward was the head optician of the company and had businesses at 406 and 66 Strand and 54 Cornhill in London. In the mid 1800s he became the optician to Her Majesty's Government and the National Rifle, and National Artillery Associations.

I've got one of these somewhere as well. Not sure how they stop the lens rotating (essential for astigmatism) unless they just hope nothing comes unscrewed.
