Must have Model of 1917 Reference Book

If you have any interest in the Model of 1917, also referred to as the U.S. Enfield, you must get a copy of Ferris' book on the M1917. After several years of procrastinating, I have four other books of the subject, I purchased the Ferris. What a book, and I haven't even finished reading it! Buy one now.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nick Ferris is a first class guy,,,lives a few miles from me, nice guy to chat with...pretty sharp on 03,s and Krags as well, with the amount of Krags he,s been buying and looking at i wouldnt be suprised if a Krag icon

book is in the works.
