This is exactly whats going on in Australia now. First they banned automatic weapons which were already ilegal for civilians to own. Then they banned semi automatic "Military style" rifles and shotguns leaving Bolt, pump, lever actions single and double barrel shotguns. Then they banned pistols over 9mm with barrels shorter than 4&3/4 inches and with magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. Now they are banning all private ownership of firearms in the interest of public safety government service entities exempted of course. You better believe government gun control is is not introrduced with "public safety" in mind and the UN is not benevelent organisation only interested in peace.
