    100 yarsd with m1 carbine

    My son hit the top of a gallon plastic milk jug at 100 yards with the flip up pin hole sites. He hit dead center of the necck of the jug though he was shooting for the red cap.
    No opictures as he did this years ago at a reange. The old gun still fires well. My dad brought it with him from WWII.

    You will see Gunner did a thread on this some time ago. YES they are accurate. I've had all contractors at one time or another, except IP. They all were fine. I'll bet when your son was shooting, it was with old ball ammo too!
