Need help with M1911 Rock Island Arsenal magazine pouch

Can anyone help me put a value on this item: an original leather M1911 (I think) magazine pouch from the Rock Island Arsenal, dated 1913 with initial H.E.K. This has two magazines inside, left one is inscribed "Cal. 38 Colt", the other does not have any markings. RI mark is stamped in the back, lengthwise and there is also a tooled stamp "K 0010". It's in standard used but not abused condition.

All help would be appreciated - I'm just a gal looking for some info, so please don't get too technical...Thanks! This has been kicking around in our house for ages and I'd like to find out if it has $$ value.

I'm sure it has some value but don't know what it might be. Certainly you won't retire after you sell it.

It is probably for an earlier Colt M1905 or M1908 Military pistol. The magazine you show on the left has the caliber marking for those pistols. I don't know whether there was ever a magazine pouch made specifically for M1911 pistols in leather, all I have ever seen were woven web.

    HTH, FWIW,

It is a magazine pocket for the Model 1911 pistol. One of the magazines looks like an early Super .38 magazine, and can't see enough of the other magazine to tell what it is other than for a Colt .45. For the magazine pocket itself, I would say it was in the $100/125 range.

Actually, I think the mag marked "CAL 38 Colt" is most likely for one of the early autos... 1900, 1902 or 1903 hammer model. (Probably not the 1900.) The 1905 was a .45 caliber pistol, and the 1908 was a .380 Auto.
