Markings on my fixed line sight and transport box

I posted these pics a few years back on a few other sites and thought you guys might be interested. I,d love to confirm what they represent.

First is perhaps a forerunner to the c broad arrow? You see them on vickers items as well I think?

then anyone have an idea what this is and or what it represents it clearly looks like a tomahawk
