Boys Anti-Tank Rifle question?
A machinist friend is working on making a dummy Boys Anti-Tank Rifle to mount on a Long Range Desert Group Preservation Society Jeep. He needs dimension -especially for the cartridge magazine. Is there a site that would have the measurements, especially for the magazine?

What do you need? I have a 1940 BSA made Boys rifle.

To BillIwin;
Bill, I don't know abot the magazine, but the ammo is easy enough to fake up. All you do is use .50BMG brass, anneal the necks, sweat on a headspacing belt, lathe-turn some .562" projectiles and seat them in. Make the projos with a boat-tailed base and they will expand the brass as you shove 'em in. Apart from the belt and projectile diameter, the two rounds were peas in a pod. Cheaper than 30 bucks a pop for real ammo, too.... and it won't hurt nearly as much when somebody steals one from your exhibit (as they will, eventually).
Hope this helps a bit.

Its a smooth bore and was once on a shotgun cert but now its a deac (Obviously done after the law changed for weapons converted to shotguns). Its quite a nice job, I just wish it had the early muzzle brake, not the later harmonica type.
