Another historic Colt with a Navy connection.....

How about this historic Colt with a Pearl Harbor connection? Tom Anderson was the OOD on the USS UTAH when the Japaneseicon torpedo struck at 0804 on Dec 7, 1941...

She still rests in the mud of Pearl Harbor. Ens. Anderson was assigned as the CO of a confiscated Japanese fishing boat that was fitted out with weapons and depth charge racks and used to patrol Hawaiian waters during the war... It was called the Sampan Group. Ens. Anderson was assigned this Colt rig on Dec. 26, 1941.. You might want to Google the 14Th Naval Dist. Sampan Group and the USS UTAH to learn more...

I got this whole rig from his family in Seattle several years ago..... ENJOY!!!

This Colt found ME. Many people know that I collect weapons with provenance... Plus I do a heck of a lot of research!!!!!
