Bren Info

I am looking to acquire a Semi Automatic Bren MkI or MkII (undecided at this time) and am looking to do a little more research before spending $3,000+. I have done some research on-line and I know of at least one book, The Bren Gun Saga, and I know that Peter Laidler has one coming out soon. Any other suggestions to gather info?

From what I have read, the MkI vs. MkII is just a matter of preference. I found a company on-line that is selling a MkI for only $50.00 more than a MkII, so price will not be a factor.

Have any of you purchased an MkI or MkII from SMG Guns? Any comments about the product they are selling or the company?

Any input or opinions on a MkI, MkII, or SMG Guns would be greatly appreciated.
