Advice Needed on 1st Mauser Purchase

I am just starting to collect Mausers and I am looking to make my first purchase. I found this on gunbroker and would like an opinion from the experts if it appears to be a good value. Greatly appreciate any help/insight you can provide.

    Thanks in advance

    Mauser opinion

Great looking rifle. I would have a few concerns for a piece at that price. Neither band matches the rifle, the rear band is on wrong, the wood appears to have been refinished (may be just the lighting), the stock cutout for the sling looks to be very rough.IMHO

Thanks Detmer - really appreciate the input. Yeah, think I might sit this one out - very nice rifle but a little pricey for me.

A Sauer&Sohn mixmaster but seems not to bad for starting with an Mauser. The cut off for the sling is a selfmade one but the rest is looking like it could be a good fun shooter. Not a rifle for an collector but maybe a good shooter.

Nice rifle, badly overpriced. Hit the really big gunshows for nice K98icon's. Forget the auction sites. Good luck.

For a good shooter, you can pay $300 for a Russianicon Capture. For a collector rifle, you need all matching numbers which this unfortunately is missing two.
