    Model 12 Trench question

Hey everyone, I'm sure this has been asked here many, many times but I'll throw it out there anyway. Does anyone know where I can find a proper heat shield for a WWII Winchester model 12 trench gun? I have one that has not been arsenal refinished and is still blued. I would prefer an original but I would be open to at least exploring the option of a repro as long as it was not in the white, parkerized, or painted black. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!

Try Sarco, Inc., Firearms, Firearms Parts and Accessories, go to the e-store and check for one under shotgun parts. Joe Poyer's book on the 97 & 12 says they are the same. part no. W97058.It may show unavailable but I just called and they took the order. PLEASE CONFIRM THEY ARE THE SAME.
