ouch!!! tough to fix this one

picked up some PD demills....couldnt find the front half, but it sure makes you sad to see this..
they used to sell these rifles at auction to FFL dealers, now.
if its unclaimed after 6 mos, they cut em up, and scrap the rest, i used to have a deal with a couple PD,s , they started having the motorpool cut em up...
i still had to tourch cut them, and log them destroyed, but i could at least save the good parts, barrels, bolts, stocks ect.. this one was cut right through the follower...

That is just horrible. I think I would rather see a picture of someone clubbing seals. It would be alot less painful....

i have a few 1903,s that have been tourch cut... as well as a nice early Colt 1911, and a Thompson 1928.. also,, a couple M12 trench guns...those are the sad ones, they were still new, when they cut them up...
we all collect weird things,, i have a small collection of blown up, and damaged guns. fire damage, failures, and demils..
Lakewood PD had me cut up 3 brand new in the box Browning BAR hunting rifles...those were the toughest ones to cut...all the local PD,s destroy them in house now, someone complained, and they stopped farming it out.
