Turning a wallhanger into a shooter is a project every gunsmith ought to try at least once. Here's what one 'smith did to a .32 Long Stevens rifle.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nice write up. I'm planning on doing the same thing to a Hopkins and Allen boys shotgun in .38xl. In its current chambering it will chamber a .357 round.

Remington Rolling Block conversion to 22 rim fire

Attachment 18892Attachment 18891Attachment 18893Attachment 18894My Father bought this 43 cal Remington from Hunters Lodge, it was in NRA horrible condition, it sat in his basement for another 30 years. The wood was gone, I cut the barrel at ten inches than bored the inside out to .50 inch. I bought a 3/4 inch round 22 rf barrel blank and turned down the last ten inches to fit inside the original barrel, also made a hard steel plug for the end of the chamber. I made the scope blocks for the barrel and converted the breech to rim fire nd made the extractor. I never liked the rolling block trigger so I made a new trigger with a sear and bent the lower tang for a pistol grip. I sent out the receiver for a case color and made the stock and fore-end from Calif walnut. I could still convert the breech back to center fire but it is quite accurate in 22rf.
