    Mauser Manual,Book or Video?

I have this new Swedishicon Mauser and don't know how to take it apart, you know for cleaning and basic maintenance. Field stripping? I looked here for a video and saw how to pull the bolt on a 98 and don't even know the difference between that and a 96(the one I have). I have a manual on ever thing I own but the M96 is new and need recommendations please. Thanks Dave

And I need to know how to disassemble so I can oil the stock inside as well.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the mechanics, disassembly etc. (which bits go where, and what they are called):
"The Swedishicon Mauser Rifles" by Steve Kehaya and Joe Poyer, North Cape Publications.

For when you get bored with shooting 10s and want to really know about Swedish Mausers
"Crown Jewels" by Dana Jones, Collector Grade Publications.

For when you start picking up other Mausers that need a bit of TLC to make them shootable:
"The Mauser Bolt Actions" by Jerry Kuhnhausen, VSP Publishers
    (covers M91 through M98 actions)

Good lad! A lot of people concentrate on external prettiness and forget that the barrel channel is very vulnerable. Dry - the fore-end warps. Wet - the barrel rusts - and the stock warps. Get it well oiled with BLOicon, and it will be good for the wood and not hurt the metal.
