M1898 Krag Bayonet Help

Can anyone tell me if a M1898 Krag icon

bayonet will fit on a 1903 Springfield? I have been in a discussion with a co-worker who says it won't. I need clarification please. Thanks.

You can also tell your friend that the Krag icon

bayonet was used on the 1903s at West Point.

Fits fine, indeed as andiarisaka pointed out the Corps of Cadets used the bayonet into the 1950's IIRC.

But it was not "issue" for anyone else, except on the Krag icon

rifles.
