Any reasonable quality brass will fire form/ expand to well beyond any wear tolerances in the leade of a barrel.
Specifically what types of ammo have you tried, where did it come from, and how does it look?

Does it do this every shot or just once in a while? Brass becomes brittle with age and won't stretch/ expand as much without splitting as new cases will. If you're using old military ammo this might be you're problem. If it's doing this with fresh ammo then i think the problem is a worn or otherwise oversized chamber. Post some pics of the fired cases.

Old cordite stuff where the neck was cold-formed on top of the propellant will commonly do this.
