Garand gunsmith in Panama City area

Does anybody know of a decent gunsmith that can re-index the barrel on my M1icon Frankengarand? I'm capable of doing the work, but don't want to buy/build the tools.

    Thanks.

too bad you are not in texas, with that said. If the barrel is going past the 12 oclock postion, you will need to find a smith with a roll swage tool to swage the torque shoulder. If you cant get to 12 oclock the torque shoulder must be trimmed a bit, from your comment it sounds like your barrel is going past the 12 oclock postion. is that a used barrel ? or a short chambered new barrel ? after you get that done make sure as you know to ck headspace and bolt release timing and that garand should run flawless with good ammo. oh and sorry i dont know anybody in Fl..

I am near Dade City, which is a bit of a drive from the panhandle, but I can do it for you - while you wait. UPS is probably cheaper than driving down, and is one-day anywhere in Florida.
