Gander Mountain has just got in a number of Yugos 7.62x25 pistols. Priced at $199.00. I just bought one and now I am on a learning curve again.

They are covered in cosmo but they cleaned it for me in a parts washer. Comes with two 9 shot clips. Holsters are decent but used. Smells of long term storage. Comes with a T cleaning rod.

Looks a lot like the old Browning but designed after the Tokaroth (spelling)

Ammo is costly but what ammo is not? Learned not to carry one in chamber as the firing pin lays right on the chamber. Has a ring for the safety rope both on the pistol and on the mag.

I was told to expect a big boom as the cartridge has a bottle neck for the bullet

Yugo Tokarev M57 TT, 7.62x25 M-57 Pistol. Very good condition.

Have not looked up performance of round yet. Supposed to have great penetration

Ach, M57! Good Tokarev variant. Not quite .30 Carbine in a pistol. Watch out for Czech ammo and others loaded especially hot, mostly for SMG use. (Think PPSh, etc.)

Very similar to TT33 by the looks of things. Great cartridge and going to get very hard to find fairly soon. Have shot my son's 33 and I found it to be pretty accurate and it does have a pretty hot load. I am sure we are shooting Czech ammo, will have to "check". I think surplus ammo is selling here in Canada for around $350.00 for 2280 rounds.

I am an advocate of the TT33.It is a Browning pattern copied by Tokorev. He also stole the Mauser 30 cartridge for it. The result in my opinion is the best military sidearm issued. I prefer Chinese issue pistol and ammo. They still issue it along with the PPSH. 85 gr. @ 1650 FPS speaks volumes. It is my personal defense. Gary

This is my first foray into foreign pistols with the YUGO. Surplus YUGO ammo around here is $7.00 for seventy rounds. Corrosive.

A frind of mine bought one but after 3 magazines, the trigger refused to be pulled. Current story going around is that problems like that are related to the add on safety. Can't prove it.

I have a similar problem with mine - safety partially engages occasionally. I may file/radius the safety slightly and attempt to fix. If you take the safety completely out - problem goes away.

You may find the following link interesting if you've ever priced magazines for these (which can hit $70-$90) for originals. This fella is making these here in the US, price $28.95 if I recall - shipping $5 for up to 8 magazines. Get your buddies to go in and order a couple.

I have used the CCSA mags without any trouble. The safety issue can be fixed a few ways:
1. Reconfigure something inside. ( I didn't try this remedy)
2. Shave the top of the left grip as it impedes the full downward range of the safety.
3. Squeeze the thumb-pad of the safety together a little tighter. This has the same effect as shaving the top of the grip. (This worked for me).
Excellent pistols, and the 7.62 Tokarev cartridge is really fun to shoot.

7.62x25 scares the hell out of LEO's. It will penetrate body Armour and Kpots. Great little HV round. Feel safe with this one in the holster. Ammo still cheap in My area of the West Coast..Rock on Doc...
