Question New Type 99 with Questions.

    Hi,

I just received this Type 99 in 7.7. I'm very excited but kind of clueless. Has this been duffel-cut? I've included the detail. The picture I took of the serial number didn't come out. I'll have to take them again.

Can you guys tell me anything about when or where it was made?

Don't see any signs of a "duffel cut". If done, it's likely under the barrel band.

As far as mfg. info, we'll need to see the area just forward of the bolt stop.

Dating sequence will depend on the small symbol in front of the S/N as well.

So a good detail shot of the left receiver sidewall is in order. Looking good, otherwise!
