I have a friend I help at his gunshow table ( gets me in free and before the doors open ). I place a sign there that we'll buy 15 rd used GI mags , no dents or rust , three for $20 . Usually get a set a show , this last show I bought two sets. There are a lot more mags out there than buyers , and people asking too much just get tired of hauling them around.

Chris,
For $6.67 a magazine, I would hold on and haul them around a while. But on the other end I would buy then all day at that price in good condition.

+1 on KCI mags from CTD. They've gone up in price now to $7.98; used to be couple bucks less.

I have had good luck with Pro-Mags at 15.99 a pop brandnew with good strong springs in them. I don,t want no worn out weak near 70 year old mags for ranch defence. The Pro-mags have been 100% reliable. I don,t collect mags and I want reliable new feed mags. . But if you have some 70 year weak spring bad feeding mags and they feed fair get some new Wolf mag springs in them. Mine are for defence not collecting. While your at it order a spring kit for your carbine to from wolf. Most carbine jams are weak mags and weak recoil springs.

FWIW - #1 Use only USGI factory spec. parts and springs for
your "duty' carbine.
#2 Use only US factory loaded cartridges for your "duty"
carbine.
There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

I like the Federal American eagle ammo in my 15rd. Pro-mags for ranch defence. Best darn mags I ever used and yes I like them better thanG.I. issue and wolf springs better than worn surplus parts . Used 70 year parts are every where, buyer beware. Get new fresh springs from Wolf Springs if you want it to run 100%.

I use both GI and after market mags and have had better luck with non GI mags that were got from Cheaper Than Dirt for $5.97 but recently jumped to $7.97.
