    Quality hardware restoration

Gave a new life to this Quality Hardware. It's a late production, and I want to extend thanks to members who helped me with some of the Parts. Bubba-7, PBI, and Frank Derrico who performed his magic on this nice highwood Stock. It is very very difficult to see where the crack was after Frank performed his magic. Hard to believe that Frank is used to breaking wood with his bare hands, as he is a multi degree Black Belt, and yet can perform tedious repairs with those Big Fists. Thanks to all, this makes number 7 of my young collection.

    Came out really nice Rusty,
Maybe later in the season you could get Frank to come down and re-coat your deck for you

Let us know how it shoots.....

LOL......I just did it a few weeks ago, does it look that bad. Me and Wife spent a whole day on that, mostly her, then she was sick for a week with allergies.

Semi-Transparent Stain......... just doesn't have the pigment in the body to hold up, especially in the heat you live in.
Next year try mixing 1 gallon of SOLID oil in the same color to 1 gallon of Semi, It will hold up longer.
It looks fine... just jealous of you having sun shine. Snow here last night and this morning. Not enough to shovel and melting now. The wife is in Tuscon.. getting beat up with 90+ degrees. Wishing she'd of shown me how to run the dishwasher before she left !
Really like your Q... Congrats !

Both are great looking QHMC's. Does anyone know the serial number range QH started using low wood stocks? The reason I ask is I have 4878xxx and wonder which would be correct.

Rusty, what a nice addition to your collection. It really turned out nice. And you should be proud.
Gosh Rusty, you're making me feel like Mr. Miyagi.
I call that a good save! Those pics of the right front make me feel good.
Glad you like the repair I did.
Take it out and shoot it (Brandon First) if it cracks again send it back on my dime and I will fix it. You know what I'm talking about.
Those small parts, especially the hammer are nice.....Frank
L.E. like your Q also, nice resto for sure!

Nice work guys! Well, might as well show my 4.7m QHMC too. Got it as a B/R from CMPicon. All correct parts now except for the front sight (can't find a Type II PO-Q). Oh, and for Hercules Powder, according to Riesch low wood started around 4.7m.

I believe there are documented examples with low wood in that range, and adjustable stamped rear sights also.
