WTK: Help with M1D mount ??

Can anyone tell me if this mount is a correct usgi mount, I ask because of the small letter"W" or "M" on the side of the scope tube bracket ? Is that a usgi made mount ??
Also interested in the screw or rivit head in the center of the mounting knob, does that look correct for a usgi mount ??
Thanks in advance for any/all help or advice !Attachment 22315
