    Mauser - ID Questions

    Hi All,

I never ever really bothered to look into mausers at all...BUT my local shop has two in that I have "claimed"...they came from a collection and the bolts are there but the internals area gone such as firing pin/spring/bolt sleeve.... I can get these for a song but I am not sure what they are....

One I have id'd as a MOD98 that was scrubbed by the yugos and is all matching as far as I can tell...no eagle marks but it is marked Preduzece 44... it is all clean except the bors is still full of cosmo...cleaned it all out and the barrel looks new...

The other is labeled K98icon with no other markings except for two digit numerals on most of the parts...the bolt again is stripped of the internals but looks great and all numerals "match"...please see the pics...

I had to buy them as they were priced right and I didn't have any so what the heck !

    Any help is appreciated !

Germanicon Kar98a, WWI issue. Shipped to Poland after WWI. Most are found with poor bores. Do check out the bore ASAP. Uses standard 98 Mauser bolts.
