    Possible Rock Ola Purchase opinions

I might be going to look at a Rock Ola tomorrow and have limited facts about this one. I don't know the serial # or barrel markings but he said it is a Rock-Ola receiver. It has the RIA EB stamping on the stock and I know what that is. What should I be looking for if I go look at it and what would be a fair price (he's not asking much). From the photos, does this look like it could have left the arsenal like it is? These are the only photos I have.

Stock has the cut for the M2 selector lever.
I'd put a value on the parts that are on/in it to determine a ball park value.
    Look for Import markings.

    Good Luck,

I have a feeling $400 and that includes 3 fully loaded magazines and a sling. Magazines and sling might be new, not sure.

    $400, buy it.

3 even if aftermarket mags are $15/20 each. 45 rounds about $20. That makes the carbine in the $320/335 range. How much better then that do you want?

What if it's an import? I have a feeling it is not, the pictures are not so good but he's only 30 minutes from me, so I figure it's well worth a little trip down the interstate.
It's an elderly gentlemen who got it from another elderly man who passed away last year, I have a feeling this is a Rock Ola that came from the DCM many years ago.

It has been rebuilt, type three band, adj rear sight, someone put it in an M-2 cut out stock. But from the pictures you show, even if it was import marked, I would still buy it at that price. Might even get a speeding ticket on my way.

I would go look at it. For a little gas money it may be a gem, and you won't know if you don't.....Frank

From the photos, could it have left the Rock Island Arsenal like it is? How would I know if this is a "gem"?

Is that a "pot belly" stock?
