The cleaning kit on the 03' , the metal cigar tube that holds the cleaning kit , does each end screw off or just one side? I cant find anything online about them , Jay

    metal 1903 oilers

    Both ends screw off.
one contains the pull thru and brush the other the oil, whatever was used at the time,
    plus a metal dabber.

    Wink Here is a pic.

The side with the leather bumper contains the bore brush and the pull thru, the plain end contains the oil reservoir and the dipper/oil application needle.

I have every little thing made for the M1icon Garand basic service rifle. Im almost there with the Enfield No4 , and im a good bit on the way with the M1903. The 1918 SA bayonet set me back a little.

Which kit is appropriate for an 03-A3? The plastic one or the metal one or either?

The plastic one is correct for the 03-A3.
