    M1 Carbine Mixmaster Repark?

I posted a M1icon carbine a week or so ago that I was trying to find a value on. I was told a reasonable value would be $400 - $500, so me and the seller agreed upon $500 dollars. I now have been contemplating having the carbine reparked by Gewher Werks and was just curious if this impact the value of the carbine. The carbine is just a mixmaster with a saginaw receiver. Just wanted to see what everyone thinks before I do anything. Here is a link to my previous post if you want to see some photos.

Rash, reparking is a tricky question. When is the finish so bad that reparking is going to make the rifle a better example?
I repark peices like recoil plates, slides, trigger housings and butt plates because I just can't stand them if they are rusty or pitted.
I restored an early IBM that needed a barrel swap so the receiver and barrel got reparked to match.
I did it differant on the late IBM in the thread I posted earlier in the week. It has a somewhat worn finish but an original adjustable rear sight that still had good paint so I didn't want to mess that up. So I started gathering pieces for it that matched the finish of the B/R. I'm allmost there, need a slide, safety, and mag catch. Actually the slide is a good finish match but is .U.
Why not post some pics and get some imput from others before you decide. JMHO.....Frank

P.S. nice to here you and the seller worked it out

It will not hurt the value any. The receiver has already been reparked once already.
