    Cool Sigarms Mosquito and GSG-5

Just picked up a Sig Sauer Mosquito from Aim,It's a .22 caliper pistol that is a copy of the P226,its as heavy as its big brother but shoots still cheap at this point .22LR ammo. And I am on the waiting list to get the GSG-5 rifle,a direct copy of the MP5 by H+K,that is also in .22LR.The same team made both guns to combat the high cost of ammo, but still give the feeling of shooting the full caliper gun. Both of these guns are on the cutting edge of the new wave of guns.
Both are made in Germanyicon, are quality built, have all the latest goodies on them. The Sig has adjustable rear sights, several front sights to match your ammo, just pop them in and out,a rail, decocker, blowback system, fixed barrel with two recoil springs to match your ammo, ambidextrous saftey,a locking device ,wear resistant polymer frame,a hole for oiling the extractor, oil included mil-spec.
Mine is also threaed for a can,and they give you a special spanner wrench to lock the end cap on,I usally shoot a threaded barrel gun without the end cap on because they usally come off when your shooting, and you find out after you left the range.
I held the dealer sample of the GSG-5 and it has to be one of the coolest guns I have ever seen.I tried to buy it ,but no go.I have to sit tight till the shipment comes in,
I have several H+K 91's and it looked to be built just as good, the only thing is it has the H+K rear drum sight and front post sight, staying true to the orginial, but they are lousy sights,so I will mount some kind of scope on it.
So in the war against high ammo prices I will be well armed. When I go to the range I will still shoot a few rounds thru my full size guns, then switch over to these new guns for my blasting away fun.Go on YOU TUBE and see the GSG-5 in action. In the US I would get one before the elections, you have to get on a waiting list, and the police and military are eyeing these for cost savings on ammo, and if they put in a large order you might not see any of these, and the ones out there will become overpriced collector guns.
The GSG-5 is $500.00 and the SIG is $320.00.It keeps getting more expensive to stay in the shooting game, these guns will still let you practise all you want, just stock up on the .22 ammo while you still can.I don't want to see the day when all the good stuff we have is hung up on the wall to just look at ,and remember the good old days, when we kept history alive with our enfields, mausers, mosin nagants, garands and all the rest.
