    1918 trench knife scabbard

I know in early 42 and 43 1918 trench knifes were issued to paratroopers because the scabbards with the hooks were so fragile was there any attempt to come up with a improved scabbard.

    M8/M6 Scabbards

Hey buddy the prongs on the issue scabbard for the Mk1 knucks knife as you say broke easily....so early in WW2 the M6 and then the M8 fibre scabbards were issued with the M1918 knucks knife.....the "ears" of the knife were often seen filed down so it sat better against the leg of the GI.

    Hope this helps
