A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. This book by Robert Spielauer is packed full of Mauser K-98 Pictures of Scopes and mounts of ww1 ,between the wars ,and ww2.A must buy for any German icon

/Austrian Sniper Affecianados.Also included M-95 Steyr And others Rifles.As the saying goes"if one picture is worth a thousand words"then Robert 's book is worth A few million words alone.

I think it's the same book shown in the "For Sale Elsewhere" section of the Quartermaster Stores, which he's selling on eBay....

My copy just arrived in today's post ....

Huge book and lit's oaded with a ton of quality pics on a wide range of scopes. I think it's going to prove valuable to folks who focus on sniper rifles as their primary area of collecting interest.

Just got my copy of the 2nd edition.....

557 pages of glossy paper photographs......

Well worth the price and a great addition to the advanced military collectors library. I give it

2nd printing is sold out.

Robert is now thinking of making the 3rd printing into a pocket book type format for easier carry and reference.
His forum has been hacked into and restarted from scratch.
