    Is this real or Memorex?

    Picked this up at an auction. Dress Sword? No markings. Has a finger tab where handle joins the blade. Never saw one before. 36 inch blade...

    Could it be late pattern dress sword? As in something used today? It looks real just not old. I can't make out ANY markings on it.

    A member of the Gunboards IDed it as Prussian Curiasseur Model 1880. Also known as a Kurrasier Officer's Pallosch....GERMAN PRUSSIAN CUIRASSIER OFFICER282148)


    The leather tab was for the finger to steady the blade during fencing....
