    Looks to me like a H.I. that is a weak stamp.
    I have one that is just about like yours, but I also have some that are double stamped and some that look like the stamped them using a 100 ton press.
    That would be my opinion on that one.

    When you see an M2 hammer, keep in mind the grinding that went on from the 1960's to the 1980's. You can see almost any marking on an M2 hammer due to this market. After the passing of the 1986 law, it dimished or stopped.

    I have even seen West Germanicon M1icon hammers made in 1958, converted by this market. The machine shop that was doing it had developed a system to do several at once.
