    that is a 2010, note the delicate cut marks, the 2011's are much rougher-somone ripped you if you paid more then the 2008 or 2009's are bringer

    At least it's a genuine band......type 3. That's a step up from Chinese sheet metal.

    A cut-down III can be legitimate if it was done for reenacting. I did one once for that purpose and it was a LOT better than the one pictured. No tool marks, and the barrel clamp was properly set back and the sharp corners 'broken'. Of course the 'MMQ' marking was left intact so there could be no question it was a Type III. Now, nearly twenty years later, it turns out that 'MMQ' was a Quality Hardware late wartime band and along with the other wartime Type III bands has accrued a little value. So, in retrospect, I messed up a good part, but sometimes the needs of the present outweigh the possibilities of the future (to paraphrase Spock).
