Swiss K11 & Friends at the range

Got to the range this afternoon 100 mtrs, priority was to give the K11 a test (first outing with it) and shoot one card for the Milsurp comp.

The others along for the journey where my No4 (With No32 Mk1 scope) and Ishapore 2A1.

These two where along to test some downloads, was testing two bullets for the 7.62 and one for the .303,

The 7.62, downloads consisted of, 12 grains of Unique, and 110grn round nose .30, and 7.62 140grn FMJ bullets. although the fore sight was way out on the 2A1 it was producing an excellent group with the round nose, and recoil was very pleasant.

The .303 downloads used the same charge but used a light .311 bullet (cant remember off hand the weight but these are what most use in the 7.62 x 39) this load was producing good results (maybe because I had the scope) more than pleased with the downloads, but think I,ve hit the nail on the head with the the round nose 110grn, for a 7.62/.308 indoor range round.

The K11 I thought preformed excellent considering the age, think this can be tweaked to give some excellent results in the future.

Took some time working out the best POA but managed in the end, the card shown will post on the Milsurp comp/shoot.

What's your idea of an excellent 2A1 group? They seem to run about 4 MOA for me.

Due to the sight being way out, only used the downloaded ammo I was trying, aiming off at something I could hardly see was producing a group, approx 1" at 50mtrs.

As for the run of mill full loads I cant comment, Have had it for some time, but its never been on the range, I saved it from being deactivated, but its a long way down the que for any TLC, but a small repair and with the gloss black paint and varnish removed think I can make room for it.

Good made! It gives a good base to make a very accurate rifle out of the K11.
