    POF Mk2 Action Bodies

I was cleaning a 1957 POFicon Mk2 when I noticed that the action body looked a little different than another one I looked at. I decided to take a closer look at the action bodies of my POF Mk2's. It is a small sampling, but the action bodies of the 1957, 1958, and 1959 were a little different than the 1960 and 1961 (I am going to assume at this time that 1962 and 1963 will be the same as 1960 and 1961). The first picture below is what the body looks like on the 1957-59 rifles and the second picture is what the body looks like on the 1960-61 rifles.

While I had the camera out, I decided to look at the action of a 1955 ROF (UF) Mk2 rifle (third picture).

There's a very anorakish/technical thread that I've been theatening to start concerning manufacturing variations of all the different No.4 rifle bodies, but just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

Maybe you ought to do/start one!

I don't have any Pakistani No.4s, so these photos are quite inspirational/educational. If you don't start the big study, can I use some of your photos? (No telling when...)
