A Thought About Vintage Sniper Match Camp Perry

While my friend and I were practicing we saw how well other Milsurp shooters were scoring using iron sights. We have been practicing with scopes and find the original glass and adjustments have definite quirks. Since we will be shooting regulation targets does anyone think any of the competitors will shoot iron sights in this competition. I regularly see very high scores during service rifle competition and this is off the sling. I guess I should check with the CMPicon to see if this question has been asked. Anyway I think the intent is to provide a competition for the old scoped rifles since their targets weren't big and round. Just wondering?
