    Recent purchase x 2 k98's

    Hi Guys

Its been a while, I have picked up two lovely 1941, K98icon's ( porto contract) from Euroarms italy, rare find to get these two, but worth the search. They have been in Government storage for decades.

The darker coloured one is all matching bar the bolt, which is correct code, the lighter coloured one is all matching and came with its original sling, barrel protector and sight hood which is not pictured.

The rifles have original barrels, waffenamts markings, nazi markings, numbered woodwork, etc. I suspect the lighter one may have had a refurb during its life.

I will probably sell the darker one to recoup some of the money spent, otherwise have a look at the photos, please feel free to post some good opinions / feedback.

I know the contract K98's were never delivered to portugal in 1941 and instead pressed to german service, unlike the 1937 contract.

    Very satisfactory examples!

If you are a shooter - keep the one that shoots better.
If you are a collector - keep the one that is all matching.
If you are not sure - keep both. Money is still being made. K98s are not.

I thought only some of the 41 Ports were pressed into Germanicon service. This explains the fine condition of some 41 Portuguese Mausers.
