'43 Reminton Rand
Several years back, I 'acquired' a '43 Remington Rand and for quite some time I was sitting back all dumb, fat (at 6ft/165 lbs) and happy thinking I had quite an original find. Then I got to reading on several forums about some of the markings on the pistol. My balloon was quickly deflated upon finding that it had been to not one, but TWO Army depots during its lifetime -- Letterkenny and Anniston (6/75 I think).
I would really like to find more about the history of this great pistol, but don't have the foggiest idea of where to start. Anyone have a clue??
Can't provide any pic's as I'm sitting in southern AZ on business and the pistol is back at home. (Sorry!)

You will probably need some pictures when you get back in order to get useful information. Include the markings on slide, frame and barrel plus the serial number. Legit rebuilds are not altogether bad.
