    Boot Covers

I have a pair of older canvas boot covers that I came across in a pallet of junk I aquired at an auction one day. Would anyone be able to tell me anything about them if i posted pictures? They look to be WWII or Korea war area, kaki, canvas boot covers. They have some stampings on them but they are so faded I cannot read them. I doubt they are worth anything but still interesting none-the-less.

    Thanks,
    Mdrim13

Think you might mean: gaiters (straps face backwards on the outside of the leg). Should be Blancoed, the short straps polished with boot polish and the small brass buckles highly polished with Brasso (front and back).

You're talking UKicon kit. Being from Nowhere, Nebraska he's undoubtedly taking about US gaiters. Much taller than the UK variety, held on by interlaced strings and an under sole strap. Pics would be nice...

Sounnds like you have a pair of the GI issue leggings. If like the ones shwn in the picture they would be Army pattern(13 eyelets for lacing). If Seven eyelets they are USN/USMC.
