    Information please IMBEL R1A1

Saw a very nice FN/FAL type rifle with a price tag of 595.00. Right side of receiver is marked R1A1 sporter-receiver made by IMBEL Itajuba Brazilicon. Imported by CAI (cen int arms) Georgia VT. Synthetic butt stock, hand grip, and fore end. Bipod which folds in recesses of fore end. Gun is heavy. Comes with two mags. Good price? what was the quality of thease R1A1 imported by Cen. Int. Arms and when where they imported. I would appreciate feed back because thinking about purchasing this gun.

I carried FNs in the Canadianicon army for 15 years so I'm very familiar with them. A friend of mine got an Imbel here a few years ago(quite a few) and when I handled it I found it to be every bit as good as what I was used to. I didn't get to shoot it but the weapon it's self appeared to be flawless. I can't say about the price but the gun should be a good risk.
    Regards, Jim
