hello all thought it would be relevant to introduce my self here as i will be getting a SC 1903a3 for my anniversary. any way don't have the rifle yet but wife has it on layaway.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Welcome! I've been asking my wife for "a gun" for 10 years every time birthday and Christmas rolls around. I'm still SOL.

I was fortunate in that regard ... my first .45, my wife threw in half and even my mother-in-law contributed a few bucks!!

yes she is great and i think she appreciates me wanting a 1903 as opposed to my other choice which was a M1A icon

, but she comes from a gun loving family
