A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Well, it's not strictly a military surplus rifle, but it is milsurpish.

    M1328 A1 Thompson.

Lend-Lease gun, probably from Russiaicon. It's fully functional, but as I have it on a collectors permit, I'm not legally allowed to shoot it.

Very nice, on the plus side if you can't shoot it at least you don't have to clean it. Swell pics.

Our Club has a U.S. GVT. Marine Corp M14icon loaned to the club, by uncle sam for the CMPicon Matches. It gets shot a lot, just not on Full Auto. I have not personally ever shot it, but I have seen it, and held it once, after a match. How doe's the whole "collectors premit" thing work? I havent heard anyone talk about those before. I met plenty of guys with full auto stuff before, stuff from WWII also, but they shot thier stuff, on full auto too. They just go to those machine gun meets with lots of other people to do it. The NRA ranges as a rule don't allow full auto around here. I had seen a line officer after a match on an Air Force Base, take his old "grease gun" down to the line by hiself and fire away for a few minutes. That was a welcome sound, especially after a high power match.
